Research Focus: Multi-level health disparities and implementation science aimed at advancing health equity in diverse populations.

Research Experience

At the University of Utah Health Department of Population Health Science, I contributed to implementation science and hypertension research through qualitative and quantitative methods, including interview-based data collection, survey design, and mixed-methods analysis. I supported study development and regulatory processes, including IRB protocol preparation and ongoing compliance activities.

At the Huntsman Cancer Institute (University of Utah), I supported cancer disparities research focused on genetic testing and counseling among African American and Black immigrant communities across the Mountain West and Midwest. I conducted qualitative analyses of patient experiences and communication regarding cancer risk and genetic counseling, and contributed to quantitative coding for the Genetic Counseling Project (GC-PRO) study.

Across projects, I contributed to literature reviews, the development of educational and prevention materials, manuscript preparation, and the dissemination of findings in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, supporting both early-stage analysis and the development of research output.
