Research Focus: Multi-level health disparities and the implementation of evidence-based practices aimed at advancing health equity in diverse populations.
Research Contributions
I contribute to ongoing implementation research projects, including evaluation of the Implementation Research Logic Model. My role involves qualitative interviewing, survey design, and both qualitative and quantitative data analysis. I also support the development and submission of Institutional Review Board protocols and assist in maintaining regulatory compliance throughout the research process. In addition, I contribute to manuscript preparation, presentations, and other forms of research dissemination.
Research Focus: Cancer genetic testing and counseling within African American and Black immigrant communities in the Mountain West region.
Research Contributions
I conduct qualitative analysis exploring how African American women understand and navigate cancer communication, especially in relation to genetic counseling and triple-negative breast cancer. I also contribute to quantitative coding and analysis within the Genetic Counseling Project (GC-PRO) study.
My work includes developing educational materials that translate research findings into accessible health prevention resources, as well as reviewing literature to situate ongoing projects within broader cancer disparities research.
I collaborate with interdisciplinary research teams on manuscript preparation and dissemination efforts.
